KIDS ZONE

The Chocolate Show Kids Zone is an area devoted to young chocolate lovers including fun, creative and educational activities with a chocolate touch. 

This year's Kids Zone is run in partnership with Peter Moustakerski – a chocolate entrepreneur in New York City.

ACTIVITIES

"Intro to Chocolate" - Morning Sessions starting at 10:15 am, 11:15 am, 12:15 pm and 1:15 pm, including:

- Dip Chocolate in large marshmallow, dried apricot, chocolate chip cookie, brownie, pretzel.

- Truffles creation

- Bark

- Each child will have 5 dipped items, two truffles and 1 piece of bark to take away

"More Chocolate" - Afternoon Sessions starting at 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm including:

- Mold Solid Chocolate

- Decorative Chocolate

- Piping Chocolate

- Each child with have 1 molded item, 1 lollipop and 1 marbleized item to take away

READINGS

On Friday, November 9 at 2:15 pm:

Kathryn Gordon, Chef Instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education, will tell The Story of Chocolate.

On Saturday, November 10 at 11:15 am:

Author Deborah Blumenthal will read from her book “The Chocolate-Covered-Cookie-Tantrum”.

On Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11 at 2:15pm:

Author Martin Howard who will read from his book “Tina Cocolina, queen of the Cupcakes” and provide fun activities with cupcakes.
